The Malaysian authorities have blocked 301 illegal gambling websites in 2015 so far.

The operation has been part of the 940 applications to block access to online gambling submitted by the relevant authorities, including the police and the ministry of domestic trade, cooperatives and consumerism.

Datuk Jailani Johari, deputy communication and multimedia minister for the Malaysian Comunication and Multimedia Commission, said: "The ministry and the MCMC will not keep quiet, but will act by censoring and blocking online gambling or any other inappropriate websites to combat the online gambling activity which has raised public concern."
