The Bright Group is ready to exhibit its portfolio at the Australasian Gaming Expo (AGE) 2015. The company has decided to showcase the Magnum topper range that it first released at AGE 2014. TBG's Bjorn Hedenberg talked with Yogonet about his expectations for the show.

What products will you exhibit at AGE 2015?

We will showcase our Magnum topper range that we first released at AGE 2014. The Magnum topper family offer a thin modern design utilizing our latest lighting technology. Since AGE 2014 we have developed new shapes and sizes that we will display this year.

Following the excellent market response for our artwork versions we have also designed a video version. As we have seen a shift in the market to larger cabinets we designed a 21.5” version, boosting a FHD monitor with HDMI interface and with an optional built in media player it is ready to plug in and play.

We then took it one step further and designed a 3D version of the 21.5” topper. In parallel we have also developed a 18.5” video topper that use a unique sparkly acrylic bezel for the RBG chase light that looks great. The new video toppers complements our artwork range and we expect to see high interest in our added versions during the show.

The artwork versions offers great value to the OEM’s and the venues. By using magnets to hold the artwork in place, changing artwork is literally done in about 15 seconds and the topper looks great with a halo displaying vivid RGB chase light colours. Another great feature of the Magnum artwork topper concept is that we can design almost any custom shape and size on a very short lead-time, helping customers meet time-to-market challenges.

We will display new concepts that we have been working on lately using the latest in lighting technology. Most of our solutions are customer specific, and we are constantly developing new lighting concepts to offer something different to each customer. Sometimes it is a component of a larger assembly, other times we end up doing the complete assembly for the customer. Many of our products displayed during the show are completed designs and already in use in the venues. We see the end result from our projects everywhere as we walk around the gaming shows.

We will also showcase our sound chair that we first released at AGE 2014. The sound chair connects to the gaming cabinet transferring the game sound to 2 x 3” headrest speakers and a 6.5” subwoofer enhancing the gaming experience for the player.

It moves 400mm forwards/backwards and swivels up to 90 degree in each direction to cater for different players preference and ease of access. It comes with an optional light panel on the backrest that can be used for adding game or venue promotional signage.

What are your goals both in the short and long term?

This year TBG celebrates 20 years of business. As the gaming industry is undergoing some challenges, we believe we have done the necessary investments to put us in a very good position to continue our growth throughout 2015. We have some very interesting projects in the works currently that we expect will come to fruition later this year. We will continue our investments to secure future growth beyond 2015.

Besides marketing activities we have increased our capabilities throughout the company. In Sydney we have invested in a CNC router and printer, assisting our R&D team to make prototypes in-house rather than relying on external suppliers reducing our product development lead-time. We have upgraded our China operation by moving to a much larger and more modern facility as well as invested in new machinery including CNC router and moulding machines and improved processes. Additional upgrade have also happened to our Las Vegas operation, and we have also invested in human resources throughout the company.

What international markets would you like to reach and why?

We are looking to expand outside the Australasian and North American regions where we are already well established. So far this year we have exhibited at London ICE and Macau G2E Asia shows. Later this year we will also exhibit at Las Vegas G2E shows, covering the top four gaming shows. Last year we also exhibited at SAGSE Argentina for the first time to evaluate the LATAM region. We believe that with our 20 years’ experience in the gaming industry we have a lot to offer gaming OEM’s that might not yet be familiar with what we do. TBG’s direct presence in 3 countries, Sydney (Australia), Wuxi (China) and Las Vegas (USA), makes us ideally placed to serve the gaming industry's needs from early engineering involvement to finished design for manufacture.
