Konami releases Gigantic Wheel of Winning

Stemming from the recent release of its extra-large Podium Goliath cabinet, Konami Gaming, Inc. is introducing an all-new standalone progressive game called Gigantic Wheel of Winning. Gigantic Wheel of Winning is a two-level mystery progressive that is compatible with most any KP3 base game, including Solstice Celebration, Riches with Daikoku, and Lotus Land.

It uses the cabinet’s jumbo display to create a real-time 3D prize wheel across the entire length of its dual-screen display.

“Goliath is unique in that its sheer premium size gives players a captivating thrill and attraction, but its delivered through proven game content you find on our classic Podium machine,” said Eduardo Aching, Konami’s vice president of international sales. “Gigantic Wheel of Winning is our first game release that is exclusively available on Goliath, and players appreciate the novelty of the prize wheel in combination with the familiarity of their favorite Konami games.”

During the randomly-triggered Gigantic Wheel of Winning mystery bonus event, players have the chance to win either a credit prize or progressive jackpot. A spin button appears and players watch as the gigantic wheel quickly whirls toward them to reveal a potential win amount. For any winning prize awarded, players then have the option to keep their prize or go “double or nothing”.

For those who choose to opt-in for the double feature, placeholders within the gigantic wheel will transform into alternating zero dollar amounts and doubled prize amounts for an additional spin. Players who successfully land the double cash award can again elect for the double feature until it results in a “0”, or up to a pre-configured “double or nothing” cap.

“Operators are able to configure the game in order to allow or disable the double feature,” said Aching. “Depending on a property’s unique audience and market strategy, this feature instills players with a very real thrill of empowerment because they make the ultimate decision and choose their own risk. But at the same time, players with a more risk-averse gambling style can simply keep their award and enjoy their experience just the same.”
