Belgium’s gambling authority the Kansspelcommissie has confirmed restrictions on the availability of virtual sports offerings in the Belgian market.

The vertical requires a Belgian license and virtual sports operators are required to limit the broadcast of events to a maximum of 30 hours per month.

Operators are required to provide a broadcast time list along with sales, revenue and profit information to the Kansspelcommissie.

The new framework is effective September 1, 2015.
