MGM Resorts International announced plans Wednesday for an approximately 5,000-seat theater at the Monte Carlo.

The theater will complement the entertainment district taking shape on the west side of the Strip and feature shows by top music acts, officials said. It will offer “dynamic seating” that allows for transformation into multiple configurations, officials said.

As a result of the project, Blue Man Group will move from the Monte Carlo to the Luxor this fall, returning to the property where it was originally staged. Jabbawockeez will move from the Luxor to the MGM Grand.
