(Spain).- Five councils run to raise Eurovegas project. The President of the Autonomous Government of Catalonia, Artur Mas, has assured that casinos would represent between a 2% to 4%" of the whole leisure complex Eurovegas. In statements to Radio Teletaxi, Mas has refuted those who say that the project promoted by the American tycoon would turn Barcelona into a gaming capital.
After meeting Adelson last Tuesday, Mas has explained: "In all this complex, casinos will just represent between a 2% to 4% of the whole complex”. The rest will be hotels, convention centers, spas, restaurants, shopping centers... I think we are interested in it", he has remarked.
Mas also has acknowledged that "Madrid started working on this project a long time ago”.
"We now have more options, but not so much as Madrid. The battle continues", affirmed Mas, who has remarked that it is an “impressive investment”. “It would be one of the largest investments worlwide nowadays, it would bring employment to a lot of people and would reinforce tourism”, he insisted.
