Russian President Dmitry Medvedev not so long ago has instructed Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, General Prosecutor Yuri Chaika and Finance Minister Alexey Kudrin to make proposals on improving gambling legislation, which recently have been adopted. In this regard, many participants of the gambling industry had to make adjustments to their lists of products, which were presented at the show.
About 30 industry companies participated in the exhibition. Exposition showcased new solutions and opportunities of the gaming world in today's market conditions. Well-known companies as GK Trio, Rosloto, Sensis, Sprung, Pachinko, InfoIntSale, Smart Money, Columbus, Gslot, KSI Corporation, World of Lotteries and many others participated in the “Russian Gaming Week”.
More than 1,800 visitors attended the exhibition. Experts, specialists and visitors from Russia and 12 countries gathered in Moscow not only for the exhibition, but also for the conference, which topical issue was “What’s happening now in the Russian gaming business and what is going to be in the future” and, of course, to communicate with each other. Leading industry associations of Russia – ADIB, the National Association of Bookmakers and RARIB attended the exhibition. The official partner of the “Russian Gaming Week” was “Spectrum Gaming Group” (USA) company.
Well-known industry specialists took part in the conference: Aleksey Kedrinskiy (Security Game Technologies), Lyubov Loginova (Alsart Group of companies), Oleg Zhuravskiy (National Bookmakers Association), Lenar Kashapov (Azov-City Gambling & Resort), Shay Shevach (Limelight Company Limited, Macau), Vitaly Kuznetsov (Holding V, Las Vegas), Joseph Weinert (Spectrum Gaming Group, USA), Nick Xuereb (Malta Lotteries and Gaming Authority, Malta), Alexey Barinskiy (QIWI Bank) , Guzel Krylova (RARIB and ZAIB consulting), Alexander Savkin (Legion), Yaroslav Sobko (Gametrade) and Marina Zykova (LOGINFX).
The following themes were of great interest among the visitors: “Trends in the Russian gaming industry: what will happen next?”, “Russian Gambling Zones – Will There Be Any Breakthrough?”, “Modeling of the optimal and legally secure business structure. Analysis of judicial practice”,“Pachinko in Russia: the Japanese model of work in the Russian reality”, “How to move successfully from gaming business to amusement?”, “Financial trading: the market full of opportunities”.
The trip of Macau representatives to the gambling zone “Azov-City” with the visit to the operating casinos “Oracle” and “Shambala” was also very interesting. During the conference participants of the trip shared their impressions and expressed confidence in further development of gambling zones in Russia.
The conference and the exhibition “Russian Gaming Week” showed the real state of gaming market in Russia. In any case, experts are optimistic about the future. And the international experience confirms that government regulation of gambling business is an important element of a civilized gambling market. And also it is a significant source of budget replenishment.
The organizers of the “Russian Gaming Week” believe that in 2012 the exhibition will take place in a more favorable business environment.
