American Gaming Association spends us$ 360,605 on second quarter lobbying

(US).-The American Gaming Association spent more than us$ 360,000 in the second quarter lobbying federal officials about Internet poker and other forms of gambling, among other matters, according to a recent disclosure report.

That's more than the us$ 326,000 it spent a year earlier but less than the us$ 430,000 the group spent lobbying in the first quarter.

The Washington, D.C., industry group for commercial casino companies lobbied only Congress in the April through June period, according to the form filed with the House clerk's office on June 9.

The association's members include international leading companies such as Las Vegas Sands, MGM Mirage, Boyd Gaming, International Game Technology, Harrah's Entertainment, Bally Technologies and other casino operators and gambling equipment companies.
