VLTs dominate Czech market

Avangard's managing director, Ivan Zoumpalov, said: "There is a great tendency for VLTs and now an enormous growth of them with 95 % of the street market being VLTs."
At the show, however, many of the exhibitors felt that operators aren't as big of fans of VLTs as players are. On Novomatic's stand, sales director of EDP Jan Zelko said: "The lifespan of play on an AWP is longer than a VLT."
Also commenting, Merkur Casino's Jitka Krupickova said: "VLTs are very popular here in the Czech Republic. Operators say this isn't good but you have to adapt to player trends."
