Paraguay: Conajzar revoked the tender of Yacht casino
The measure affects the firm Casino Entertaiment Limited S.A., which operates the game in the facilities of Paraguayan Yacht and Golf Club. According to a press release from the
Ministry of Economy, the decision was taken by Resolution Number 5/09 last Wednesday 15th, due to the cumulated debt that the company has with the state.
Conajzar President, Patricia Marchewka, announced that Casino Entertainment has not complied with the obligation of a payment of a fee, so it has a debt of U$S 989,908, including interest up to April 8th of the current year, indicates the report.
She adds that, due to the failure to comply with the payment, Conajzar demanded the discount of the deposit of the guarantee, as well as the replacement of such guarantee. The company had to pay more than U$S 68,997 a month in concept of fees, but it had been in debt for 11 months.
The company had obtained the direct renewal of the contract in November 14th, 2005; a license that concludes in November next year and that now was revoked, so it will enter in a new tender process.
