(España).- El nuevo casino de Lloret de Mar ya tiene dos posible ubicaciones, tras las ofertas presentadas por los grupos Cirsa y Atzaria. El primero contempla la ubicación del casino en el hotel Olympic Palace, que el grupo hotelero Cotursa construye en el complejo Olympic Resort & Congreso Center. Por su parte, Atzaria vincula el casino al Gran Hotel Monterrey, propiedad de Hoteles Guitart.

Estas propuestas, son dos de las cuatro presentadas a la Generalitat, que ya ha abierto las plicas y que tiene previsto adjudicar el nuevo casino el mes que viene. La sociedad especializada en el negocio de juego y del ocio Cirsa ha presentado una oferta por 40,7 millones de euros, e incluye una aportación de 8,5 millones de euros para infraestructuras municipales.

El director general de Cirsa, Joaquim Agut, ha afirmado: "no venimos a Lloret para forrarnos una temporada y luego irnos", y ha asegurado tener la voluntad de establecer un compromiso de continuidad con Lloret de Mar, tanto en el desarrollo turístico de la ciudad, como en la mejora de los equipamientos e infraestructuras de titularidad municipal.

Según Agut, su oferta es a largo plazo y ha explicado que tienen un doble objetivo, poner en marcha un establecimiento de ocio que debe ser rentable y, además, ayudar a mejorar y aumentar un modelo de excelencia turística que está buscando esta localidad costera.

El grupo Atzaria, formado por las empresas catalanas especializadas en el sector del juego Grupo Binelde, Grupo Rodríguez Villar, Conei Corporación y MGA-New Park, junto a Guitart Hotels han presentado el segundo de los proyectos, el Gran Casino Costa Brava, con el que optan a la adjudicación de la cuarta licencia de casinos en territorio catalán.

Su propuesta pretende diversificar “la oferta turística, cultural y gastronómica en torno al casino, con el fin de atraer, durante todo el año, a un turismo de calidad”. “Queremos contribuir a desestacionalizar el turismo en Lloret de Mar y la Costa Brava, uno de los viejos retos del turismo catalán”, ha declarado Xavier González, portavoz de la sociedad.

El Gran Casino Costa Brava, contaría con una inversión inicial prevista de cerca de 24 millones de euros, y se situaría en los jardines del Gran Hotel Monterrey. Además el proyecto incluye “la instalación de un Palacio de Congresos polivalente, con capacidad para 1000 personas que sería cedido al Ayuntamiento durante 120 días al año.
