Ontario law enforcement and gaming regulatory agencies have issued a joint warning urging the public to remain vigilant against fraudulent online casino schemes falsely linking themselves to Casino Rama.

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) issued the advisory after receiving reports of scams exploiting the reputation of Casino Rama. According to authorities, certain online gambling advertisements on social media platforms are promoting gaming services under the guise of being associated with the popular casino.

However, investigations revealed that these promotions are linked to an unregistered gaming platform named WinSpirit Casino, which has no affiliation with Casino Rama or any other registered casino in Ontario.

The OPP underscored the critical importance of patronizing regulated gaming sites in the province, which adhere to stringent standards encompassing game integrity, data security, and player protection measures.

"Residents of Ontario who opt for online gambling are urged to exercise caution when encountering such advertisements and to verify that the gaming site they intend to use is registered with the AGCO," the OPP noted.
