Gaming in Germany is set to kick off its new webinar series with its first installment “Responsible Advertising in a regulated iGaming market,” on May 20 at 15:00 CET.
The 16 German federal states recently agreed on a treaty that will allow country-wide online gambling from July 1, 2021 onward. The regulation of online gambling will open up significant advertising and business development opportunities for licensed operators.
In this webinar, the experts will discuss what the German media environment looks like and how operators can advertise in a manner that is both effective and sustainable. Registration for the first Gaming in Germany webinar is now open.
Panelists are Dr Andreas Blaue, General Counsel at Constantin Medien AG / CEO Magic Sports Media GmbH; Frank Hesse, Gaming & Marketing Consultant; and Maarten Haijer, Secretary General of the European Gaming and Betting Association (EGBA). There will be an introduction on the legal and regulatory advertising framework by Dr Jörg Hofmann, group leader of the Gaming & Betting Law Practice Group of Melchers Law Firm.
The webinar series will be every six weeks, with a 45-minute duration each, and will include expert panels with a true audience engagement.
Each Gaming in Germany webinar will fit within one of four broader themes: Legal & licensing; Compliance & RegTech; Marketing, media & business development; Social responsibility.
