CEO and developer Derek Stevens said Monday that his integrated gaming resort has reached the halfway mark in its 22-month construction process. There will be more than 700 rooms, the "world’s largest sportsbook" with three floors, and six swimming pools that will be open throughout the year. Circa's two-story casino will house 1,360 slot machines and 49 table games.

Circa Resort and Casino construction started early 2019 and now the downtown Las Vegas project is halfway complete. It will be the tallest structure north of the Las Vegas Strip. Sitting on the site of the old Las Vegas Club Casino, this is the first resort being built from the ground up since 1980.

On Monday, CEO and developer Derek Stevens announced that his highly anticipated integrated gaming resort has reached the halfway mark in its 22-month construction process, on track for a December 2020 opening.

"Reaching this milestone for Circa would not be possible without our incredible partners and construction team," Stevens said in a news release. "Today we not only celebrate this exciting moment in Circa's journey, but those who have helped us bring the project to life. I'm proud to deliver something completely new to the Las Vegas experience and can't wait to open our doors a year from now for everyone to enjoy it."

Located on the iconic Fremont Street Experience, Circa’s 1.25 million-square-foot, 777-room property will merge old-school Vegas hospitality with cutting-edge design and technology, featuring first-class amenities, non-stop entertainment, advanced hotel technology and attentive customer service.

Presented as the “world's largest sportsbook,” operated by Stevens' sports betting venture Circa Sports, the resort's centerpiece will offer three levels of action taking place on a 78-million-pixel high-definition screen. The Vegas Stats and Information Network (VSiN) will have its own on-site studio offering bettors in-depth analysis from a roster of experts.

Circa's two-story casino will house 1,360 slot machines and 49 table games. A lobby highlight will be a statement piece – the return of Las Vegas' neon kicking cowgirl, Vegas Vickie, who will be a signature feature of Circa.

Rooftop Pool Amphitheater, one of Circa's key features, will include six rooftop pools operated 365 days a year and boasting a nearly 14-million-pixel screen playing the day's top sporting events.

The Garage Mahal will be one of the most high-tech transportation hubs in the city with a focus on customer experience. The company said it is designed to deliver the easiest and most convenient experience for ride-sharing services such as Uber and Lyft, and it will also offer valet and self-parking, in addition to long-term parking for loyal Circa customers.

New food and beverage concepts will see a collection of original restaurants and bar venues. The concepts will be announced throughout 2020.

“I think there are so many great things happening in Las Vegas right now. It’s great to see all of these new projects. When you think about what’s going on with the convention center. The new allegiant stadium. What’s happening, you know, on Fremont East and at Symphony Park and Resorts World,” Stevens said.

Stevens has partnered with Steelman Partners to oversee Circa's architecture and design, McCarthy Building Companies Inc. as its general contractor and Tré Builders as construction manager.
