In conversation with Yogonet, the recently appointed director of Sirplay Peru Roel Herrera, said, “When it comes to online sports betting, Peru is a relatively young market. Authorities have carefully studied the successful stories of several other regulated markets, and we believe the approval process of the bill will take two years, as everything seems to be on track.”
In addition to the promotion of Herrera, who previously served as Technical Support Manager, Sirplay has considerably expanded its team in the South American country, a move that reflects the company’s commitment to serving the fastest-growing Peruvian market.
Commenting on the partnership with Ortiz Gaming, the world leader in video bingo games, Esposito said he plans to bring their exciting proposition to new markets outside Latin America.
Apart from its global headquarters in Malta, Sirplay also has offices in Peru, Colombia, Argentina and Nigeria. “Latin America is a big part of our strategy, as we see tremendous development potential in the region,” the company’s CEO commented, adding that Sirplay will soon unveil exciting news for the Paraguayan market.
Asked about Jugadon.com, the joint development with Argentina’s Loteria de San Luis, Esposito explained it has exceeded their expectations: “Despite regulation making it hard for us to expand Jugadon.com into other Argentinian provinces, we are confident we will see progress on gaming regulation soon.”
