32Red has cited the impact of a focus on customer service, increased marketing expenditure and cross sell from supporting products as the main reason behind a year-on-year jump in revenue during the six months through to June 30.

Net gaming revenue in the first half of the year amounted to £18.6 million (USD 29M), up 22% from the £15.2 million posted in the corresponding period last year.

Casino represents the highest source of income for the online gaming operator, with such operations generating £17 million in revenue, up 21% on the previous year.

32Red’s online casino service in Italy was the main growth area of the company during the first half, with revenue from this division up 67% on a year-on-year basis to £900,000.

The operator also noted that the number of new casino players was up 12% on last year to 26,407, while active casino customers also jumped by 22% year-on-year to 62,214.

Ed Ware, chief executive of 32Red, said: “Our continued focus on customer service, combined with increased marketing expenditure and cross sell from supporting products has driven double-digit organic revenue growth in the 32Red casino in the half year.”

“We recently announced the acquisition of the Roxy Palace business and I am delighted with initial trading and the integration progress. The combination of this earnings-enhancing acquisition allied with our strong organic growth provides a strong platform for continued growth and we look forward to the future with confidence,” he added.
