According to Aguirre, feedback from international operators was extremely positive, even though the trade show experienced a slight decrease in attendance, due to country regulation.

How did FADJA 2015 pan out? Did it live up to expectations?

The show was very productive. What is interesting is that,  even though the market is still unregulated, many new companies that are willing to bet in this market attended the trade event, expressing their interest in the region.

We’re extremely happy with this year’s edition. It’s a positive sign when people gives you their trust and loyalty.

Did bad economic situation in Colombia affect  you?

Maybe it did. The number of operators decreased due to new regulation, since those who cannot adapt to technological changes have to leave operations.

Colombia has always been an attractive segment for operators and even though the economic situation might affected local businesses, international visitors compensated the lack of Colombian presence.

What was the feedback from operators?

Feedback was positive. Operators found a well organized place to do business.

The peace march that took place in Bogota and other Colombian cities on April 9 affected the volume of visitors at FADJA 2015, but that’s something that we, as organizers, cannot control. In spite of the adversities, the balance is positive and numbers can prove it.
