(Puerto Rico, exclusive Yogonet.com).- As the Caribbean Gaming Show 2014 drew to a close, Elizabeth Leiva, CEO of CGS Group, confirmed that the event will be back in Puerto Rico in 2015. “It will be at the beginning of March, again at Puerto Rico Convention Center. Whether we stick with the same format and , conferences will depend on the conversations we have with the Puerto Rico Hotel and Tourism Association, headed by Ismael Vega, with whom we are discussing organising something together”, she said.

With regard to the Caribbean Gaming Show’s fifth edition, which concluded yesterday, she said: “It went very well. Most local operators were present. Besides, we had visitors from Jamaica, Aruba, Bahamas, Virgin Islands and Antigua and Barbuda, among other jurisdictions.”

Leiva went on to explain that manufacturers, especially the larger ones, had put in a lot of effort to ensure the event was a success, so they could meet the customer numbers they were seeking.

With regard to the host country, she said: “Before choosing Puerto Rico as a venue, we wanted the approval of the Games of Chance Division of the Compañía de Turismo de Puerto Rico. Andy Viera Díaz, the director of that body, made clear at the show the importance of this kind of event. For many years the Compañía de Turismo de Puerto Rico has been trying  to rekindle the show’s earlier status and profile and now Viera Díaz and his colleagues feel that they have achieved just that.”
