(UK).- Pool and tote sportsbetting supplier Sportech has announced that current Ladbrokes executive Cliff Baty has been selected to replace Steve Cunliffe as its Chief Financial Officer from mid-May.

Baty is at present the Corporate Development and International Finance Director for Ladbrokes and is set to join Sportech from May 13 where he will report directly to Ian Penrose, CEO for the London-based operator. “I am delighted to welcome Cliff to the team,” said Penrose. “He brings extensive industry and financial experience to our company and his appointment completes the restructuring of our senior management team.”

Sportech revealed that Baty has been with Ladbrokes for seven years and also served as Finance Director for its iGaming business. Before this he was Group Financial Controller for Hilton Group and has a decade with Ernst and Young as a qualified chartered accountant.

“Following a period of significant change, Sportech is well placed to take advantage of growing opportunities in gaming in the UK and internationally,” said Baty. “It is a great time to be joining the team and I look forward to helping the business deliver its growth plans.”
