"New venture as part of Advantech group allows us to achieve a faster rate of growth"

(US, exclusive Yogonet.com).- Craig Stapleton, Product Director at Innocore Gaming, made a balance of the participation of the firm at G2E, where it exhibited its products for the first time as Advantech –Innocore since the merger of the two companies two months ago. He also talked about the performance of the firm and its future perspectives.

ow do you evaluate your participation in G2E?
G2E 2010 was very sucessful for us. Because we were launching two new products with the very latest CPUs and chipsets, we got a lot of technical interest in those new products.  However we also were exhibiting for the first time as Advantech –Innocore since the merger of our companies two months ago.  Advantech is among the three largest industrial PC manufacturers in the world.  So our gaming industry clients were interested to talk to us about the new Innocore organisation and how it makes us effectively the larger supplier of PC platforms to the gaming industry.

What was their response to your products and new launches?
The new DPX-S425 with the latest Intel CPU and the new DPX-S415 with AMD CPU  were the two new boards we launched at the show.  The response was very good.  We found a lot of our existing customers were very interested in evaluating the new boards since they are drop in replacements for our current DPX-S410 but offer a significant step up in performance.  New customers also showed a lot of interest in the products.

How did you see this edition regarding G2E 2009?
We found G2E 2010 to be better than 2009.  The quality of meetings was higher and the general interest was better.  We were very busy the whole three days and the outcome was very encouraging.

In your opinion, did the show demonstrate a recovery from the global crisis?
Since our products form the basis for our customers machines, the design cycle is quite long between first interest and product evaluation to actual mass production and sales.  So although it was encouraging to have a lot of interest and new projects we will have to wait and see if projects move ahead. 

How was this year for your company?
2009 was a successful year for Innocore. The sales growth of the previous 4 years was continued and the year culminated with our acquisition by Advantech. 

Which are your plans for next year?
The new venture as part of Advantech group is very exciting allowing us to reach more customers in the gaming industry and to achieve an even faster rate of growth with increased stability and resources.
