Wynn Resorts expresses interest in South Boston

As a special committee works to reach a compromise between the House and Senate bills proposing destination style casinos and slot machines at the state’s racetracks, Wynn Resorts has hired a public relations firm to promote a bid to develop in the state.

A casino proposal has not been released to the public but according to news reports from Boston, Wynn has been in talks with Joseph Fallon, the owner of Fan Pier, to develop a casino resort on a portion of his 4.8 hectare site.

Wynn has also paid nearly us$ 400,000 to a Boston lobbyist through a subsidiary, Development Associates and hired public relations firm, Howell Communications to promote the bid.
