Orbis launches LiveOdds

Now live at PaddyPower.com, LiveOdds allows operators to build and design their own live betting applications using technology of their choice with price updates streamed as they happen.

Orbis stated that the core of LiveOdds is the ability to stream data directly from a database to players’ screens in real time without the need to refresh. LiveOdds is built on the London-based firm’s new LiveServ technology, which enables the delivery of live messages, content and data directly to customers. As a pivotal element of OpenBet, Orbis revealed that LiveServ was designed as a highly scalable and flexible ‘push’ server to provide support for the widest range of browsers and front-end technologies.

In addition, Orbis revealed that its new LiveChatroom product, which is also based on LiveServ technology, is already in the ‘latter stages of development’. This new innovation will open LiveServ to two-way traffic enabling operators to connect customers on their sites through chatrooms. Orbis stated that LiveChatroom will be able to be used anywhere on an operator’s site including from a homepage, live betting portals and side panels on fixed-odds games to facilitate private conversations for customer support.
