Ministers of the National Audit Office analyzed yesterday the report of the legal and audit services on the tender of Hotel Casino Carrasco to Codere Group.
The document points that the Montevideo Council (IMM) "infringed" the law several times and the specifications when bringing that consortium to tender last May 21st. It also has doubts on the financial and economic capacity of Codere Group.
However, the local director Hyara Rodríguez affirmed that IMM "acted properly" and "with the best guarantees" for all the parties. Besides, Mayor Ricardo Ehrlich treated the issue in a weekly meeting with its cabinet, where he showed his concern on the leaking of the report of the National Audit Office to the press.
