This decrease is motivated by a decrease of bingo activities because, according to the report, the activity of casinos and games of chance has kept positive financial variations in the last two years.

The collection of casino operating companies experimented an increase of 4 per cent and reached 627 million euros. An 80 per cent of that figure belongs to income on table games.

DBK report points out that the casino segment will continue being the most dynamic, boosted by the opening of new venues, in order to register a growth of 5 per cent in 2008 and 10 per cent in 2009.

In Spain, there are operations in 40 casinos, around 440 bingos and 250,000 games of chance, on top of the ones in bars and restaurants.
