The head of such institution of the Ministry of Foreign Commerce and Tourism (Mincetur), Manuel San Román, explained that collection used to be us$ 1 million, but now it is us$ 4.8 million a month.
“It means that in 2007 we have achieved the record of all records reaching more than us$ 38.2 million a year”, commented, and said that the reason of that improvement is the permanent work with regards to authorizations and inspection.
He commented that it is the reason why they have been acknowledged as the most efficient entity of control with regards to casinos and slots in Latin America.
“With that money the Peruvian Sports Institute has been benefited, as well as tecnnological innovation centers for handycrafts, the state, the regional and local councils”, he pointed.
Among the goals proposed, San Román mentioned the ending of the formalization process, which means the evaluation of all the gambling halls presented in the nation.
“We will also install an online system, so every slot in Peru is interconnected to a computer, which will allow to have information about the collection and will allow a better control of its performance”, he anticipated.
