Since GLI is accredited by about 400 gaming jurisdiction/regulation organizations around the world to provide hardware/software verification and engineering/legal consulting services related to casino machines and operating systems, GLI certification is equivalent to an admission to these potential markets, Astro emphasized.

While the GLI certification for video slot machines is specific to the gaming jurisdiction in Macao, Astro can obtain certification for the machines in other markets by applying with GLI to have the certification apply to another jurisdiction areas. Astro said it plans to pursue markets in North America and Latin America in countries such as Peru and Panama.

Astro will be making efforts to secure GLI certification for as many gaming jurisdiction areas as possible, the company indicated. In order to tap main markets, Astro has had Simon Herbert, former CEO of TCS John Huxley Group (a worldwide supplier of table gaming equipment), responsible for overseas marketing, the company noted.
