West Michigan's Gun Lake Casino Resort receives AAA Four Diamond designation

Gun Lake Casino Resort has entered the group of West Michigan hotel properties holding AAA’s Four Diamond designation following an evaluation covering guest service and upscale amenities. The property is now one of four hotels in the region carrying the rating.

“Gun Lake Casino Resort’s achievement of the prestigious AAA Four Diamond designation is a testament to its unwavering commitment to excellence,” said Chris Andersen, AAA Diamond Program Director. “This honor reflects the exceptional service, world-class hospitality, and elevated guest experience that define every moment on the property.”

The designation was awarded after reviewing standards tied to hospitality operations and guest accommodations.

The designation follows changes introduced at the resort during 2025. In March last year, Gun Lake Casino Resort held the grand opening of its 16-story hotel tower, full-service spa, and new dining options. The milestone marked the property's evolution into a full-service resort.

The Wawyé Oasis opened in June 2025, offering guests a glass atrium housing over 32,000 sq. ft. of paradise, with live palm trees set at a perfect temperature of 80 degrees.
