IGT reports four major slot jackpots in the US and Canada in April
International Game Technology (IGT) announced that its Megabucks™, Powerbucks™, and Wheel of Fortune™ Slots games awarded four major jackpots in April, totaling over $11.5 million in the U.S. and more than CAD$2 million in Canada.
On April 1, a player won $10,486,432.04 playing Megabucks™ Triple Red Hot 7s™ Spitfire Multipliers™ at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.
An online Powerbucks player in Québec, Canada, won CAD$1,771,204.60 (US$1,292,392.32) on Wheel of Fortune Hawaiian Getaway™ on April 5, followed on April 23 by a $1,099,735.94 win at California's Sky River Casino on Wheel of Fortune Cash Link™ Big Money.
The month concluded on April 24 with another major win in Québec, where a player won CAD$1,156,696.51 (US$844,004.46) at Casino du Lac-Leamy on Powerbucks Wheel of Fortune Cash Link™ Big Money, pushing the Powerbucks network past CAD$100 million in cumulative jackpot payouts.
Wheel of Fortune Slots has now produced more than 1,200 millionaires and awarded over $3.6 billion in jackpots since launching in 1996, while Powerbucks Slots has paid out more than 77 jackpots of CAD$1 million or more since their Canadian debut in 2016.
