BetMGM has added WSOP champion Mike Lavin to its roster of poker pro ambassadors, assigning him to represent the brand across live streams, tournaments, and social media channels.
"What attracted me to BetMGM was simple – they listen to the players. Before I had any affiliation with the company, I saw how the poker team engaged with the community in a way no other platform does. I'm proud to officially represent a team I believe in and that cares about its players," said Lavin.
In the role, Lavin will appear in live tournament settings, produce content on social platforms, and participate in brand-led poker initiatives.
Lavin, a resident of Yardley, Pennsylvania, returned to poker during the COVID-19 pandemic and transitioned from casual play to tournament results. His record includes 17 online rings, three World Series of Poker bracelets, and four BetMGM leaderboard titles. During the 2025 World Series of Poker, he won the $1,500 No-Limit Texas Hold'em Shootout, earning $267,000 and a gold bracelet.
"Mike is exactly the kind of player we want representing BetMGM," said David Mileaf, Director of Poker at BetMGM. "He built his game on our platform and won our leaderboards. His story proves what's possible for any player willing to put in the work online."
The appointment follows Lavin’s progression from playing poker online with BetMGM to achieving results in tournament play. His participation on the platform included leaderboard wins prior to his WSOP title.
