“The International Conference on Gambling & Risk Taking is more than just a conference,” said Brett Abarbanel, executive director of IGI. “It’s the intellectual heartbeat of the global gambling field. It convenes the thinkers and decision-makers who shape the field and push the boundaries of the gambling industry.”

Held every three years, the conference highlights research and education on risk-taking, with topics spanning economics, public policy, mathematics, social sciences, and psychology. The previous edition in 2023 drew several hundred attendees from more than two dozen countries.

The conference was founded in 1974 at the University of Nevada, Reno by Bill Eadington, and has since developed into one of the longest-running gatherings focused on gambling research, evolving over time to address developments in technology, policy, and industry practices.

Early bird registration, available until April 18, 2026, is priced at $850, while student registration costs $500. Discounted group room rates at the Bellagio are available at $233 per night, excluding taxes, until April 23, 2026. Click here to access these rates.

Official programming, speakers and schedules are available here and will be updated regularly.
