Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) has been accredited in Ukraine, becoming the first international gaming lab authorized to operate in the country.
The accreditation was granted to GLI Europe B.V. by Ukrainian regulatory authority PlayCity, which appointed the company as a testing, certification, and inspection body for gambling equipment. GLI Europe B.V. is currently the only foreign entity authorized to operate in this capacity within the country.
Under the agreement, GLI Europe B.V. will oversee the testing and certification of all gaming-related hardware and software in compliance with PlayCity regulations and Ukraine’s broader gaming framework.
Certification services will be conducted through the company’s European operational hub, adhering to internationally recognized ISO/IEC 17025, 17020, and 17065 standards.
The company will collaborate with both domestic and international suppliers seeking entry into Ukraine’s regulated market. Suppliers will be required to obtain a certificate of approval from PlayCity before applying for certification.
“We are grateful for the trust PlayCity has placed in GLI,” said James Boje, Managing Director, EMEIA. “At GLI, we work with regulators in more than 710 jurisdictions, and we will bring our global expertise to PlayCity and to suppliers who wish to enter the Ukrainian market, guaranteeing the highest levels of testing quality and compliance.”
