The El Cortez Hotel & Casino in Downtown Las Vegas has announced a series of leadership promotions and new executive appointments as the historic property celebrates its 85th anniversary.
Adam Wiesberg has been promoted to Vice President and General Manager, overseeing all property operations. He joined El Cortez in 2015 and has held multiple roles, including Table Games Shift Manager, Marketing Director, and Assistant General Manager.
Patrick Lazarus has been named Vice President and Director of Casino Operations, responsible for managing the casino floor across slots and table games. He has been with the property since 2012, advancing through roles such as Table Games Shift Manager and Casino Manager.
Additionally, Nords Malilay has been appointed Vice President of Player Development and Casino Marketing, leading efforts to enhance player engagement through a blend of modern strategies and personalized service. He joined the leadership team in 2005 and is recognized for building strong relationships with high-value players.
Meanwhile, Bart Mahoney joins as Vice President of Hospitality, overseeing all food and beverage operations, including planned updates to the property’s main restaurant, Siegel’s 1941. He brings more than 20 years of experience from Resorts World, Golden Entertainment, and Wynn Resorts.

Last year, El Cortez unveiled a $20 million expansion, including a new high-limit lounge, cocktail bars, and dining options. The updated executive team will lead the property through 2026 renovations and continued growth.
