The EEGS Webinar Series is set to resume on March 26 with a session focused on the expanding role of cryptocurrencies within the gaming sector, as industry participants face evolving regulatory frameworks and operational considerations.

Scheduled for 14:00 CET, the session titled "Crypto in Gaming: Regulation, Risk & Real Use Cases" will address how digital assets are moving beyond experimental use and becoming embedded in gaming models, including crypto casinos, prediction markets, and blockchain-based platforms.

The discussion comes as frameworks such as the European Union’s Markets in Crypto-Assets regulation and the proposed US Genius Act continue to shape how digital assets are governed.

The webinar will examine how cryptocurrencies and stablecoins, including USDT and EURC, are currently regulated and how they function in practice. Particular attention will be given to mechanisms that are less visible to users, such as asset freezing and regulatory intervention, and how these factors affect operators working with digital assets.

Organizers said the session will also focus on the operational side of adoption, including approaches to integrating crypto into casino environments while managing compliance requirements and balancing innovation with risk exposure. The discussion is expected to explore how companies can align technical implementation with regulatory expectations.

The speaker for the session, Stoyan Atipov, is a crypto-finance and regulation specialist and founder of the PAN Blockchain Association and the Composite Finance Institute. He is also a doctoral researcher studying the applications and regulation of financial innovations. His professional experience includes designing infrastructure and products for licensed crypto-financial institutions in Singapore and Europe.

Atipov currently works with Vesto, a licensed EU crypto-asset service provider, where he supports companies in implementing financial solutions within regulated environments. During the session, he is expected to outline practical adoption strategies and address how operators can navigate the intersection of technology and compliance.

The event will conclude with an open discussion segment, allowing participants to examine emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities linked to the use of crypto assets in gaming.
