Zitro founder Johnny Ortiz wins 'Businessman of the Year' award for the fourth time

Johnny Ortiz, Founder of Zitro, has been honored for the fourth time with the “Businessman of the Year” Award presented by AZAR Magazine. The recognition marks a major milestone for the gaming provider as Ortiz becomes the only entrepreneur in the industry to receive the distinction four times.

During the award ceremony, Manolo Ortega, editor of AZAR Magazine, highlighted Johnny’s achievements: “We’re proud to present our most cherished award—one that comes from the heart—to Johnny Ortiz, for his talent, constant innovation, and larger-than-life personality. As I predicted years ago, I still believe he is destined for global leadership.” 

Johnny Ortiz expressed his gratitude: “I sincerely thank AZAR Magazine, and especially Manolo Ortega, for this recognition, which I receive with great honor.

March has proven to be full of industry recognition for Zitro. Earlier in the month, Zitro won the Eilers & Krejcik Gaming (EKG) Award for Top-Performing Game in Latin America for the third consecutive year.

The 2026 award was given to King Fu Frog, recognizing its strong performance across the region. Zitro has also maintained leading positions in the monthly Eilers & Krejcik – Fantini reports, consistently ranking at the top of multiple categories.
