Acorn Ridge Casino officially opened its doors to the public on Tuesday, marking the debut of Northern California’s newest gaming and entertainment destination.

The long-anticipated project, developed by the Ione Band of Miwok Indians in partnership with Sierra Entertainment, represents a significant milestone for the tribe and the surrounding region. Tribal leaders described the casino as a symbol of sovereignty, economic independence, and long-term opportunity for future generations.

“Acorn Ridge Casino is the realization of years of hard work, perseverance, and vision by our tribe,” said Sara Dutschke, Chairperson of the Ione Band of Miwok Indians. “This casino represents economic independence, new opportunities for our people, and a place where we can welcome our neighbors and visitors in a beautiful and unique entertainment destination.”

The 60,000-square-foot property features 484 slot machines, 12 table games, and an outdoor entertainment venue. The casino’s flagship restaurant, Stone Creek Kitchen, offers a farm-to-fork dining experience, while guests can also enjoy beverages at Old Roots Bar or from mobile beverage carts serving specialty cocktails, wine, and beer on the gaming floor.

“From the moment our guests arrive, our goal is to offer them an experience that feels familiar in the best way,” said Jake Zaneta, General Manager of Acorn Ridge Casino. “Something unique to Acorn Ridge is our light and airy design, which was inspired by the natural beauty and rural character of Amador County."

"Whether it’s a sunny afternoon spent outdoors with a glass of locally produced wine, or an evening enjoying a variety of play on the gaming floor, Acorn Ridge offers an atmosphere that will become a favorite place for people to meet and unwind. We are so thrilled to officially open our doors and invite everyone to come see why Acorn Ridge Casino is so special.”

Located in Plymouth in the heart of Amador County wine country, the casino is fully staffed and expected to generate economic growth for the region, serving both local residents and visitors traveling through the Sierra foothill communities.
