Tropicana Atlantic City has opened the Solana Tower, a fully redesigned wing of the resort featuring 598 coastal-themed rooms and suites. The tower, located in what was previously the west wing of the property, starts welcoming guests this month following a major renovation.
The project could be part of a strategy to recover lost ground after Tropicana’s share of Atlantic City’s gaming revenue fell from approximately 15% to under 8% in recent years. The resort is committed to substantial upgrades, with the Solana Tower renovation serving as a key component of that effort.
“It’s incredibly rewarding to finally welcome guests to the new Solana Tower,” said Gregg Klein, senior vice president and general manager, Tropicana Atlantic City. “After reimagining every detail, we’re thrilled to share a space where guests can relax, explore and enjoy a fresh, modern Atlantic City experience.”

The redesigned rooms incorporate elements inspired by Tropicana’s Palm Walk and the Atlantic City shoreline, combining soft wood tones, tropical accents, and curated local artwork. The updated design seeks to balance the city’s historic charm with contemporary expectations, targeting a wide range of travelers from leisure guests to casino patrons.
The tower’s opening follows a period of aggressive property enhancements across Atlantic City, including by competitors such as Borgata. Solana Tower is integrated into Tropicana’s multi-tower resort complex, which includes more than 2,300 rooms, pools, a spa, dining outlets, a Broadway-style theater, and an IMAX cinema.
Tropicana is one of three Atlantic City casinos owned by Caesars Entertainment, along with Harrah's Resort Atlantic City and Caesars Atlantic City.
