With events held across different continents, SiGMA Group has established itself as one of the leading global platforms for meetings, debate and business within the iGaming industry. By bringing together operators, regulators, technology providers, investors and affiliates, the group’s events act as a barometer of the sector’s transformation and the direction of the market in each region.
One such example is BiS SiGMA South America (formerly known as BiS SiGMA Americas), whose 2026 edition will take place from 6 to 9 April, once again in São Paulo (SP). Next year will also mark the launch of a new group event: SiGMA North America, to be held in Mexico City from 1 to 3 September.
“The success of each event depends on curating the right voices and leaders for that specific market, making every SiGMA summit globally connected while remaining locally relevant,” explained Cristian Robalino, Head of Marketing at SiGMA Group for the Americas.

Below is the exclusive interview Robalino gave to Yogonet, in which he shares further insight into the behind-the-scenes organisation of the events and expectations for 2026:
Are there major differences between organising a business trade show in Brazil and in Mexico, or is the process similar regardless of the country?
While the core structure of SiGMA-related events remains consistent—combining conferences, exhibitions and high-level networking—each market has its own dynamics that require a tailored approach. One of the most important elements is ensuring the presence of the most influential minds and key decision-makers in each local market.
In Brazil and Mexico, regulatory frameworks, business cultures, and levels of market maturity differ significantly. Actively involving leading operators, regulators, affiliates, technology providers, and investors from each region helps shape relevant discussions and ensures that the agenda reflects the market’s real priorities.
The participation of these stakeholders adds credibility to the event and creates meaningful opportunities for international attendees to better understand local nuances.
Ultimately, while the operational framework may be similar, the success of each event depends on curating the right voices and leadership for that specific market, making each SiGMA summit globally connected and locally relevant at the same time.

In the digital era, do in-person discussions and networking at events such as SiGMA deliver results that virtual interactions can never truly match?
Yes. There is nothing quite like face-to-face interaction. At SiGMA, our business is about helping companies grow and driving the industry forward, which is why we place such strong emphasis on in-person networking and real-world interactions that go beyond digital communication.
Our events are designed to create environments where meaningful conversations can happen naturally, through dedicated networking lounges, curated dinners and programming focused on genuine business development.
Startup pitch competitions, award ceremonies, tours and side events also play a key role in bringing different stakeholders together in real time.
That said, digital tools remain extremely important. Platforms such as SiGMA Match help facilitate introductions and schedule meetings in advance, making in-person interactions more focused and productive.
Together, these experiences create opportunities for organic connections, trust-building and long-term relationship development—outcomes that are particularly valuable in the B2B environment and difficult to fully replicate in a purely virtual context, due to the human connection, energy and social dynamics that live events provide.
How are preparations progressing for the first SiGMA North America event in Mexico City, and what are your expectations?
Preparations for the launch of SiGMA North America 2026 are moving forward with a strong focus on quality and on delivering something truly differentiated for the region.
From the outset, the goal has been to avoid simply replicating existing formats and instead curate an event that delivers real value through carefully selected speakers, high-level participants and content that reflects the realities and opportunities of both the North American and Latin American markets.
The emphasis is on depth rather than scale, on meaningful dialogue, and on creating an environment where business genuinely takes place.
Mexico City is the ideal location for this launch. As a major global business hub with excellent international connectivity, the city sits at the crossroads of North and Latin America, positioning it uniquely to bring together leaders from both regions. Its growing influence in gaming, technology and investment, combined with accessibility and a vibrant business ecosystem, makes it the natural setting for a new SiGMA summit.
Beyond the conference and exhibition, the event will feature curated networking experiences, side events, award ceremonies and startup-focused initiatives, all designed to maximise engagement and foster high-quality connections.

What can attendees expect from BiS SiGMA South America 2026 in terms of discussions, networking and business opportunities?
BiS SiGMA South America is firmly established as the largest and most-attended iGaming event in Latin America, and the 2026 edition is expected to surpass previous years in both scale and impact. The event brings together high-level decision-makers from across the region and beyond, positioning São Paulo as the primary meeting point for the Latin American gaming industry.
From a content perspective, the 2026 agenda will place strong emphasis on market development, regulation and innovation, with a particular focus on Brazil’s evolving landscape and its influence across the region. Discussions will be led by executives and experts directly involved in policymaking, operations and investment, ensuring practical, current and market-aligned conversations.
From a commercial standpoint, the event is designed to maximise business opportunities through a combination of structured meetings, curated experiences and a highly active exhibition floor.
With greater international participation and an expanded programme, the 2026 edition will offer an even more robust environment for deal-making, partnerships and long-term growth, reinforcing BiS SiGMA South America as the benchmark iGaming event in Latin America.

Which iGaming segments are growing most rapidly worldwide, and how is this reflected in industry events?
The iGaming industry is evolving rapidly, and several segments stand out in terms of growth. Sports betting—particularly mobile and in-play formats—continues to expand globally as new markets open and technology advances.
Online casinos and live dealer games are also seeing strong demand, driven by more immersive and digital experiences that keep players engaged. Esports betting is another exciting area, attracting younger, tech-savvy audiences by combining entertainment and wagering in new ways.
We are also seeing innovation in areas such as mobile-first platforms, virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) gaming, and even crypto-based gaming, offering operators new ways to differentiate and reach players globally.
At SiGMA events, these trends are reflected both in conference programming and on the exhibition floor, with panels and demonstrations focused on the latest technologies, market insights and business opportunities. Attendees gain direct exposure to the segments driving growth and to the strategies shaping the future of iGaming.
Would you like to add anything else?
Certainly. Beyond conferences and exhibitions, SiGMA Group is committed to supporting the iGaming industry in multiple ways. The iGaming Academy provides education and professional development, helping talent grow and stay up to date with the latest trends and regulations. SiGMA Play offers hands-on gaming experiences, connecting participants with the latest products and innovations on the market.
We also place strong emphasis on Business-to-Government (B2G) initiatives, promoting dialogue and collaboration between the industry and governments to support responsible growth and regulatory development. Through the SiGMA Foundation, we are also proud to give back to the community by funding initiatives that generate social impact alongside industry growth.
Together, these initiatives demonstrate that SiGMA is more than just events and industry news: it is a platform built to educate, connect and drive positive change across the global gaming ecosystem.
