Zitro is celebrating the launch of its first Wide Area Progressive (WAP) in Colombia in partnership with operator Opalsa. The WAP is now live in five Colombian cities, linking 24 machines to a shared Grand Mega jackpot.
The installation, branded “Red Millonaria,” spans six locations in Santander de Quilichao, Pasto, Palmira, Buenaventura, and Popayán. The network connects 24 gaming machines to a single Grand Mega jackpot that increases progressively across all participating venues.
The rollout represents Zitro’s first WAP deployment in Colombia and was carried out in partnership with Opalsa, a local gaming operator.
“We’ve been preparing for this launch for months, and the results are exceeding our expectations. ‘Red Millonaria’ marks a major milestone for Zitro in Colombia. I want to recognize the outstanding work of our technical and marketing teams, who worked hand-in-hand with Opalsa to bring this project to life,” said Alejandra Burato, Zitro’s Regional Director for Latin America
The network uses Zitro’s CONCEPT cabinet paired with the King Fu Frog game. The supplier said the setup connects directly to the operator’s existing systems, rather than requiring a separate proprietary WAP platform.
Zitro said this configuration allows the progressive network to operate within the operator’s current infrastructure while linking all participating machines to the same jackpot pool.
“We’re thrilled to launch ‘Red Millonaria’ with Zitro, an internationally recognized supplier,” said Carlos Palacios, General Director of Opalsa. “This partnership strengthens our market position while enhancing the value we deliver to players in every region where we operate.”
