Global Gaming Women names Siobhan Lane as President and Board Chair

Global Gaming Women (GGW), a non-profit organization focused on advancing women across the gaming industry, has announced the appointment of Siobhan Lane as President and Chair of the Board.

Lane currently serves as Group Chief Executive Officer of Gaming at Light & Wonder, Inc. Her appointment follows her tenure as GGW’s 1st Vice President. She succeeds Lauren Bates, who has completed a two-year term as president. GGW confirmed that the new leadership appointments will take effect on January 1, 2026, and will run through 2028.

Brandi Ellis, a long-serving executive within the gaming sector, has been appointed as GGW’s 1st Vice President, filling the role previously held by Lane. Adriana Kasunic, Vice President of People Operations at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas, has been named GGW’s 2nd Vice President. Kasunic previously served as Board Secretary.

Commenting on Lane’s appointment, outgoing GGW President Lauren Bates said: “Throughout her many years of service to the organization, Siobhan’s ardent focus on education has significantly expanded GGW’s offerings and reach, which we will see continued in her leadership as president.” Bates currently serves as Vice President of Sales at Light & Wonder.

Lane’s appointment comes at the conclusion of Bates’ two-year presidential term, during which GGW expanded its membership base and educational footprint.

Bates said: “I want to extend my deepest gratitude to GGW’s incredible members, sponsors, board members, and volunteers for your dedicated commitment to the organization over my term of service, during which we achieved more than 3,000 new members, launched 10 new programs, and held 17 live education events, which expanded into two new countries.”

Responding to her new role, Lane addressed continuity in GGW’s mission and acknowledged the work of her predecessor. “GGW’s mission to support, inspire, and influence the development of women in the gaming industry began with its founders’ vision and commitment—a mission I am excited to champion in my role as President and Chair of the Board of Directors."

"Outgoing GGW President Lauren Bates brought the organization to new heights, and I extend my immense appreciation to her for positioning GGW for continued success,” she said.

In addition to the vice-presidential appointments, GGW has authorized the appointment of Julie Woodruff, Vice President of Finance at Seminole Casino Hotel Immokalee, as Board Secretary. Woodruff fills the position vacated by Kasunic following her transition to 2nd Vice President.
