MGM holds 47% market share

Detroit casinos generate $108.2 million in November revenue

Detroit’s three commercial casinos generated a combined $108.2 million in revenue in November 2025, according to the Michigan Gaming Control Board.

Table games and slot machines produced $106.5 million of the total, while retail sports betting contributed $1.7 million. MGM Grand Detroit led the market with 47% share, followed by MotorCity Casino at 30% and Hollywood Casino at Greektown at 23%.

Revenue from table games and slot machines increased slightly, rising 0.1% from November 2024 and 0.5% from October 2025. Year-to-date, however, combined table games and slot revenue was down 1.0% compared with the same period last year.

MGM Grand Detroit generated $50.7 million in table games and slots revenue, up 3.0% from a year earlier. MotorCity Casino reported $31.4 million, a 5.0% decline, while Hollywood Casino at Greektown recorded $24.4 million, a 1.0% increase. The casinos paid $8.63 million in state gaming taxes for the month and submitted $13.2 million in wagering taxes and development agreement payments to the City of Detroit.

In retail sports betting, the three casinos reported a combined handle of $14.4 million and $1.7 million in gross receipts. Qualified adjusted gross receipts fell 10.8% year-over-year but rose 10.8% from October 2025. MGM Grand Detroit posted $587,294 in QAGR, MotorCity Casino reported $565,718, and Hollywood Casino at Greektown recorded $554,751. The casinos paid $64,553 in state taxes from retail sports betting and submitted an additional $78,899 in wagering taxes to the city.

Fantasy contest operators reported $921,446 in adjusted revenues for October 2025 and paid $77,401 in taxes.
