FanDuel has begun operating its mobile sportsbook in Missouri, marking the company’s entry into the state’s newly launched legal sports betting market. From today, residents aged 21 and over can download the FanDuel Sportsbook app, place wagers and access introductory offers as Missouri becomes the latest U.S. jurisdiction to permit regulated online betting.
New customers who place a first wager of at least $5 will receive $300 in Bonus Bets. These can be used across a wide range of sports, including the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, golf, boxing and soccer.
The company is tying its Missouri debut to statewide community investments. Ahead of launch, FanDuel pledged $300,000 to Guns 'N Hoses, a St. Louis nonprofit known for its annual charity boxing event that raises funds for The BackStoppers, which provides long-term assistance to families of first responders who have died or suffered catastrophic injuries.
The announcement was made at a mid-November press conference in St. Louis, where Jay Atkins, Director of Government Relations, highlighted the company’s commitment to first responders and to the communities where it operates.
In Kansas City, FanDuel will match that amount with a $300,000 donation to the Veterans Community Project, an organization focused on ending veteran homelessness through transitional housing and wraparound support. FanDuel employees plan to participate in a volunteer event with the group on December 3 as part of launch-week activities.
“Introducing FanDuel to sports fans in Missouri is a huge moment for our business, and we look forward to bringing the passionate fans across the state the experience of America’s #1 Sportsbook,” said Karol Corcoran, Managing Director, Sportsbook at FanDuel.
“In addition to our leading product and parlay experience, Missouri customers can expect exciting promotions, including our Missouri Super Boost, where fans who place a wager can win up to $50 if one point is scored during tonight’s Monday Night Football game."
"We are also passionate about giving back to our communities, and we are proud of the work we are doing to support veterans and first responders through our partners at Guns 'N Hoses and Veterans Community Project.”
The FanDuel Sportsbook app includes secure banking features, fast payouts, customer support and options such as Cash-Out, live betting and the company’s Same Game Parlay product.
FanDuel also offers streaming of select sporting events within the app and has added features such as The Pulse, which surfaces live bets tied to major in-game moments. New bettors can access a Sports Betting 101 guide to understand wagering fundamentals.
FanDuel says it will maintain responsible gaming standards in Missouri through tools that allow customers to set spending and time limits, along with the My Spend dashboard that displays individual play and budgeting data.
Missouri becomes the 25th state or territory where FanDuel operates a mobile sportsbook, joining markets including Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, D.C., West Virginia and Wyoming.
