BetMGM has elevated Jarrod Schwarz to the newly created role of Chief Operating Officer, giving the longtime Chief Product Officer oversight of product, customer operations, technology, and trading as the company reshapes its leadership structure.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to step into this role,” Schwarz said. “It’s a privilege to continue the incredible journey we’ve been on at BetMGM, building on our momentum in sports betting and iGaming. Together with our exceptionally talented team, I look forward to pushing the boundaries of innovation and strengthening our position as a market leader.”

Schwarz joined BetMGM nearly five years ago as Chief Product Officer. He has more than 20 years of experience in digital product development across e-commerce, sports, and entertainment.

Before BetMGM, he spent over seven years at Disney, where he contributed to the launch of ESPN+, its first direct-to-consumer streaming service. His earlier career includes six years at eBay and a tenure as Vice President of Product at Bloomspot, later acquired by JP Morgan Chase.

“Jarrod has been an integral part of our incredible team, building BetMGM into one of the most recognizable and successful brands in sports betting and iGaming,” said CEO Adam Greenblatt. “He has consistently demonstrated strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of our business. I'm confident that this change will ensure we continue to deliver exceptional products and experiences to our players.”

In addition to Schwarz’s promotion, BetMGM is placing its strategy, corporate development, and certain business development functions under the finance organization led by Chief Financial Officer Gary Deutsch. The operator also recently established two business verticals: iGaming, led by Oliver Bartlett, and sports, led by Raymond Doyle.

The company said the adjustments are designed to facilitate more coordinated planning and integration across its strategic functions.

BetMGM operates in 29 markets, offering mobile and retail products. Its sportsbook app is available on iOS, Android, and desktop.
