A lucky slots player struck it rich on Wednesday on the Las Vegas Strip, taking home a jackpot worth more than $1.26 million.
The guest, who wished to remain anonymous, won $1,267,504 on a $10 spin while playing Wheel of Fortune Gold Spin Triple Gold at Aria, according to a spokesperson for International Game Technology (IGT).
IGT, which licenses the iconic Wheel of Fortune slot machines, said the big win continues the game’s legacy as one of the Strip’s most rewarding.
In July, IGT's Wheel of Fortune-branded slot machines awarded three jackpots worth more than $1 million each, adding to a decades-long run of multimillion-dollar payouts.
Since their launch in 1996, Wheel of Fortune slots have produced more than 1,200 millionaires and awarded over $3.6 billion in jackpots, according to the company.
The Wheel of Fortune slot is inspired by the popular Wheel of Fortune TV program, which reaches more than 25 million weekly viewers. Trademarked as America’s Game, it has earned seven Emmy Awards, including a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Game/Audience Participation Show.
