IGT PlaySports signs multi-year deal with Corporación Caliente to expand in Latin America

International Game Technology (IGT) announced on Thursday that it has entered a multi-year sports betting technology and services agreement with Corporación Caliente to power retail sportsbooks across Mexico and more than 100 additional venues in Latin America.

Under the deal, 42 Caliente sportsbooks in Mexico will adopt the IGT PlaySports platform and the company’s Trading Advisory Services. The phased rollout will also give selected sportsbook operators in Antigua, Argentina, Aruba, Brazil, Ecuador, Panama, Paraguay, and Uruguay access to the technology, covering over 100 more venues.

"Given IGT's vast global experience and the versatility and reliability of the IGT PlaySports platform, they are uniquely qualified to help Corporación Caliente level-up its betting offering and deliver even more entertainment to our players,” he said.

“We've worked hand-in-hand with the Corporación Caliente team to deliver a future-proofed solution and a complementary trading services program that will meet regional needs, scale with future opportunities, and captivate sports fans," Bertolone added.

IGT said the companies would begin with sportsbooks in Mexico before expanding to other countries in the region. The company’s PlaySports division was named “Sportsbook Platform Provider of the Year” at the 2024 EGR North America Awards.
