Stake has entered into a multi-year agreement as the Official Title Partner of the Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR), adding the Caribbean Premier League cricket franchise to its expanding portfolio of global sports sponsorships.
The partnership places Stake, an online casino and sportsbook operator, alongside a T20 cricket franchise that has won four CPL titles (2015, 2017, 2018, and 2020) and is part of the larger Knight Riders Sports group.
The deal also further advances Stake’s presence in cricket, following previous collaborations with the European Cricket Championships, Paarl Royals, and Major League Cricket.
Binda Dey, Group Chief Marketing Officer of Knight Riders Sports, said: “We are proud to welcome Stake as the Official Title Partner of the Trinbago Knight Riders in a multi-year agreement.
“This partnership marks a significant milestone for us, bringing together two globally recognised brands with a shared commitment to innovation and elevating fan engagement through technology. Stake's impressive presence across global sports demonstrates their dedication to supporting world-class sporting entertainment, and we look forward to a successful and impactful partnership.”
Founded in 2017, Stake has developed a strong sponsorship presence across multiple sports properties. Its current roster includes the UFC, Everton FC, and the Stake F1 Team, among other deals. The company’s foray into cricket aligns with its broader efforts to engage new audiences through strategic brand alliances.
“TKR represents the kind of excellence Stake looks for in partnerships. Their track record and passionate fanbase make them the perfect addition to our cricket portfolio,” said Akhil Sarin, Chief Marketing Officer at Stake. “We're excited to support TKR and bring our platform to cricket fans worldwide.”
Sarin added that the collaboration goes beyond branding: “Our partnership with TKR is not just about brand alignment — it's a step toward building meaningful connections with cricket fans. We are excited to create immersive, tech-driven fan experiences that reflect the energy and passion of T20 cricket.”
To announce the partnership, TKR and Stake launched a teaser campaign that featured team stars Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, and Dwayne Bravo, along with other athletes from Stake’s global sponsorship network. The social media campaign was designed to generate attention through cross-sport appeal and concluded with the official partnership reveal.
TKR is one of four franchises operated by the Knight Riders group, which also includes Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League, Abu Dhabi Knight Riders in the UAE’s ILT20, and Los Angeles Knight Riders in Major League Cricket. The group’s men’s and women’s teams have collectively won eight trophies.
The Knight Riders Academy, part of the group’s broader cricket operations, continues to scout and develop talent from across India and international markets. The academy’s objective is to support year-round skill development and fitness improvement for emerging players.
