Two casino resorts in Henderson, Nevada, are undergoing major renovation projects.
Penn Entertainment's M Resort Spa Casino has completed the first phase of its multi-million-dollar expansion project, which includes a fully renovated casino floor. The upgrade spans approximately 92,000 square feet, according to data from Nevada gaming regulators.
The remodeled gaming area features a revamped table games pit, travertine pathways, 39 reupholstered table games with new chairs, nearly 1,125 square feet of new carpet, an upgraded high-limit room, and a relocated Coors Light Chill Zone, now connected to Raiders Tavern & Grill.
“Our goal was to create an immersive, elevated casino experience that connects with our identity as a resort retreat,” said Hussain Mahrous, vice president and general manager of M Resort. “These design upgrades celebrate the natural beauty of our desert location and signal what’s to come with the completion of our expansion.”
The entire expansion is expected to cost approximately $206 million, as previously disclosed by Penn in December 2023. A second hotel tower is currently under construction, with completion projected for early 2026. Once completed, the tower will add 384 rooms, bringing the resort’s total capacity to 774 rooms.
The project also includes new convention space and a ballroom, scheduled to open this winter. M Resort, which opened in March 2009 and was acquired by Penn in 2011, is the “Official Team Headquarters Hotel of the Las Vegas Raiders.” The property also maintains partnerships with the Foley Entertainment Group and the Henderson Silver Knights minor-league hockey team.
Station Casinos is launching a separate large-scale renovation at another Henderson property, Green Valley Ranch Resort. The company announced plans to renovate all of its nearly 500 hotel rooms and suites as part of a comprehensive property transformation.
“Every room and suite has been completely reimagined with bespoke finishes, refined design, and thoughtful touches that cater to the discerning modern traveler,” said Ken Janssen, vice president and general manager of Green Valley Ranch, in a statement. “Our new accommodations will be some of the most distinctive rooms and suites in the city, and will complement the elevated experiences we offer across the property.”
The renovation, designed in collaboration with Avenue Interior Design, aims to convert guest accommodations into what the company describes as a “serene escape” with a “sophisticated pied-à-terre ambiance.” The redesign of the West Tower is slated for completion this fall, with the full room and suite renovation expected to finish next year.
Station Casinos estimates the cost of the room and convention space renovations at approximately $200 million. The company also indicated that additional property updates would be announced in the coming months.
