Sports betting and online gaming companies operating in São Paulo are set to establish a dedicated industry union later this month, following the official publication of a convening notice in Brazil’s Official Gazette of the Union (DOU). The first general assembly to create the Union of Sports Betting and Online Gaming Operating Companies of the State of São Paulo (SINDIBETS/SP) is scheduled for July 31, 2025.
The assembly will mark the formal founding of SINDIBETS/SP, with plans to approve its bylaws, define its state territorial base, and elect the inaugural executive board and fiscal council. The meeting also aims to authorize the registration of the new union with the Civil Registry of Legal Entities and Brazil’s Ministry of Labor and Employment.
Participation is restricted to companies that can prove active operations in São Paulo’s sports betting and online gaming sector. These firms must be represented by partners, directors, or legally appointed attorneys and will need to submit documentation, including an official photo ID with CPF, company articles of incorporation, CNPJ registration, a notarized power of attorney if applicable, and evidence linking the representative to the company.
The assembly will take place at 4:00 PM on July 31 in a hybrid format, allowing participants to join either in person at Rua Dr. Guilherme Bennitz, 126, Suite 81, in the Itaim Bibi district of São Paulo, or remotely via Google Meet through this link.
Oversight of the process is being handled by a committee of sector representatives comprising Ana Clara Marques de Barros Santos of Sol Serviços de Intermediação Ltda., Laura Beatriz de Souza Morganti of Betboom Ltda., and Barbara Rodrigues Lima Teles of Stake Brazil Ltda.
The official notice, which meets all legal requirements for the creation of a union, including publication in both a widely circulated state newspaper and the Federal Official Gazette, also provides contact channels for inquiries related to the process.
