The Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) has issued cease-and-desist letters to 19 illegal online gaming operations found to be targeting players in the state without proper licensure. This marks the regulator's largest enforcement action to date, according to the board.
The following sites were found in violation of Michigan’s Lawful Internet Gaming Act and related laws and have been order to shut down immediately: Bingo Village, BITBET, Café Casino, Cocoa Casino, Cyber Bingo, Davinci’s Gold, Desert Nights Casino, Diamond Reels Online Casino, Eclipse Casino, Eternal Slots, EuroBets Casino, Fair Go Casino, GoldWin Casino, Ignition Casino, Jackbit, Jackpot Capital, Paradise8, Red Stag Casino, and Two Up Casino.
The board said these sites were offering games to Michigan players without the licenses required under state law.
“Illegal gambling operators threaten the safety of our citizens and the integrity of our gaming industry,” said Henry Williams, MGCB Executive Director. “When companies offer games without proper licensing, Michigan players are left without the critical protections they deserve. That’s unacceptable, and we’re taking strong action to stop it.”
The MGCB is also investigating several other platforms for similar violations. These include BoVegas Casino, BUSR, Cherry Gold Casino, Lucky Legends, and Wager Attack Casino. All are accused of offering unlicensed casino games and sports betting to Michigan players.
Players using these illegal sites face serious risks, including unpaid winnings, unfair games, and no legal protections, according to the regulator.
“These platforms operate in the shadows,” Williams said. “They’re not just skirting the rules—they’re exposing players to serious harm. Our job is to stop them, and we take that responsibility seriously.”
Operators have 14 days to stop all activity in Michigan. If they don’t comply, they could face legal action with support from the Michigan Department of Attorney General.
