The Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) has issued cease-and-desist orders to six online gambling operators that were illegally offering services to state residents.

The sites—Bonus Blitz Casino, DomGame, Royal Ace Casino, Slots Capital, Supernova Casino, and Wins Mania—were found operating without proper authorization, violating Michigan’s Lawful Internet Gaming Act, the Michigan Gaming Control and Revenue Act, and parts of the Michigan Penal Code

“These illegal operators often masquerade as legitimate gaming platforms, but they exist entirely outside the legal safeguards that protect consumers,” said Henry Williams, Executive Director of the MGCB. “When Michiganders play on unlicensed sites, they’re placing their personal and financial security at risk, with little to no recourse if things go wrong,” he added.

Unlike Michigan-licensed gaming platforms, which undergo strict vetting, regulation, and monitoring, these unlicensed sites operate outside of state law, the regulator stressed.

Some are based overseas, beyond U.S. legal reach, while others falsely present themselves as legitimate domestic options. They do not comply with responsible gaming standards, do not offer dispute resolution processes, and often mislead players by mimicking the appearance of legal platforms, added the regulator.

The MGCB has ordered all six operators to immediately stop accepting wagers from Michigan residents. If they fail to comply, they could face further legal action.

“This action sends a clear message to illegal operators: Michigan is not a place for rogue gambling,” Williams said. “We are committed to preserving a safe, legal, and accountable gaming landscape—and that includes rooting out bad actors who threaten the trust we’ve built with consumers.”

The MGCB further warned the public that using unlicensed gambling sites can result in financial loss, identity theft, rigged games, and a complete lack of support for responsible gaming. To avoid these risks, residents are encouraged to use only approved platforms listed on the MGCB’s official website.
