Seminole Hard Rock Tampa named luckiest casino in the US

Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa has been ranked the luckiest casino in the United States, according to a new study by Casinos.com. 

The ranking is based on Tripadvisor reviews, measuring the frequency of luck-related keyword mentions, with the casino earning a 25.49% “luck rate”—the highest in the nation. 

Researchers tracked keywords like “jackpot,” “winning,” “hand pay,” and “bonus” to identify which casinos were most associated with big wins. Seminole Hard Rock Tampa led the pack, with 50 reviews mentioning “jackpot” and 19 citing “hand pay.”

“I hit 4 jackpots. I stayed one night. I had a blast. The machines are as loose as anywhere else,” a guest wrote.

"We've always known this was a lucky casino, but it's exciting to see that recognized through data-driven research," Steve Bonner, President of Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa, said in a statement. "It's a testament to the vibrant energy on our casino floor and the unforgettable experiences we strive to create for every guest."

The casino noted that it was not involved in the study and learned about the results after they were published.

Over the past year, Seminole Hard Rock Tampa has paid out nearly 839,000 jackpots totaling more than $2.45 billion. Since May 1, 2024, the casino has awarded 375 jackpots of $100,000 or more—totaling $61 million. Of those, 47 came from bets of $5 or less, and nine from wagers under $3.

The casino offers 245,000 square feet of gaming space, including 5,230 slot machines, table games like blackjack and baccarat, live craps, roulette, and sports betting.
